what is ayurveda?
Ayurveda is an over 5000 year old Living Science that is holistic, practical, timeless, and universal.
The Ayurveda health and healing system emphasises:
identification of the root cause of disorders or disease
disease prevention
maintenance of the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of a healthy individual
alleviation of signs and symptoms of the disorder or disease
and healing treatments of imbalances, or health concerns.
Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word that literally means science of life and longevity.
Āyus means life or life span and Veda means knowledge or science.
In Vedic culture, one’s life span is measured in the number of breaths one takes. So the expression “save your breath” actually takes on a new meaning to slow down in life, and breathe slowly, deeply, and evenly for longevity and vitality.
Ayurveda is simultaneously a science of The Golden Ratio and an art of living in harmony with the 5 Mahābhūtas, in tune with the Laws of Nature that govern existence, and the all-pervading Universe or Vishwam in which all sentient beings live.
The Pancha Mahabhutas or 5 Elements which everything,
(living + non-living), is composed of:
Ākāsha (Ether or Space)
Vāyu (Air)
Tejas (Fire)
Āpas (Water)
Pṛithivī (Earth)

dinacharya
The Ayurvedic Dinacharya or daily routine is a consistent practice of a life well-lived in luminous synchrony with the cycles and rhythms of Nature.
Coordination of one’s circadian rhythms with Nature’s clockwork and healthy lifestyle habits can result in experiencing better energy levels throughout the day, optimised immunity, more mental clarity, mindfulness, radiant happiness, resilience to stress and challenges, sustainable health, and overall success.
I coined the phrase: “Nowness Fulfilment” to describe the efficacy and totality of the physical, physiological, psychological, and spiritual benefits of Ayurveda, (within reason and when properly practised).
