I am refreshed and awakened by the Spring energy.

I feel revitalised by the season's renewing force.

I plant seeds of positivity and cultivate happiness.

- Springtime Affirmation -

While some of us celebrate the change of season, unfortunately, an estimated 13 million people in the UK, a whopping 81 million people in the US, and 40% of the European population dread the blossoming trees because of respiratory disorders, seasonal allergens, and high pollen counts. I used to be part of those statistics, but not anymore!

The classical Ayurvedic text 'Charaka Samhita' has understood the mechanics of seasonal changes for several thousands of years and describes the influence of our external natural environment on our internal bodily environment in Spring as:

"Kapha dosha, accumulated in the Winter, is liquified in the body by the rising heat of the Spring sun (Pitta dosha).

This can affect the power of digestion and metabolism and result in a variety of complaints."

If your Kapha dosha is increased, digestive fire, 𝘈𝘨𝘯𝘪, is low or weak, and 𝘢𝘮𝘢 is medium to high (a sticky and sometimes reactive endogenous toxin comprised of undigested food particles that can clog bodily tissues and channels) then you may experience the following symptoms due to a lowered immunity:

❎️ sluggish digestion

❎️ heaviness

❎️ dullness

❎️ brain fog and mental unclarity

❎️ headaches and migraines

❎️ low energy

❎️ lethargy and inertia

❎️ hayfever/seasonal allergic rhinitis

❎️ congestion, colds, and the flu

❎️ irritated or watery eyes

❎️ runny nose and sinusitis

If you experience any of the above, then it's time for a much-needed shift in your life so that you can enjoy the change of season.

Why not try a different approach: addressing the root cause(s) of the doshic imbalances and gaining insights into imbalance prevention from now on and in the future.

Fortunately, Integrative Ayurveda can look deeper into your state of health, assess and help balance your digestive fire, strengthen it, eliminate 𝘢𝘮𝘢, and increase your immunity.
